✓Engage with Science & Everyday Science content through at least one hands-on experiment or observation

📅 Four-Week Teaching Plan

1
Week 1
Introduction & Diagnostic Review
Diagnostic Quiz
Teaching Focus
Open with a diagnostic activity to gauge prior knowledge. Introduce the month's core concepts using visual aids and real-world Pakistan examples. Assign "What I already know" journal entries.
Assessment: Diagnostic Quiz
Identify prior knowledge gaps. Mark informally — use results to differentiate Week 2–3 instruction.
2
Week 2
Concept Exploration & Bi-Weekly Activity
Observation Checklist
Teaching Focus
Deepen understanding through group investigations, hands-on experiments, and the bi-weekly physical activity. Use think-pair-share frequently. Connect Science content to everyday observations from students' neighbourhoods.
Assessment: Observation Checklist
During the bi-weekly activity, observe participation, cooperation, and application of concepts. Record on class register.
⚽ Bi-Weekly Activity Note
Plan the physical/recreational activity for Week 2. Ensure inclusive participation. Record attendance and engagement. Connect activity to teamwork life-skill lesson.
3
Week 3
Practice, Application & Group Work
Formative Assignment
Teaching Focus
Consolidate learning through application projects. Assign cross-subject IQ/reasoning tasks. Focus on communication: ask each student to present one idea orally. Begin individual feedback on formative assignment.
Assessment: Formative Assignment
Short written or practical task (15–20 min). Provide written feedback, not just marks. Focus on growth.
4
Week 4
Monthly Assessment & Reflection
Monthly Test (Summative)
Teaching Focus
Conduct monthly test (formal). Review test papers together as a class — discuss mistakes constructively. Celebrate growth. Brief students on next month's learning journey. Assign light holiday/home review task.
Assessment: Monthly Test (Summative)
Formal test covering all 4 weeks. Include objective, short-answer, and one application question. Return with comments within 3 days.
⚽ Second Bi-Weekly Activity
Week 4 also includes the second bi-weekly activity. Integrate it before or after the test day. Keep the atmosphere celebratory.

🎓 Pedagogy Toolkit for This Month

🎯

Objective-First Teaching

Begin every lesson by writing the learning objective on the board. Ask students: "By the end of today, what will you be able to do?" This activates prior knowledge and sets purpose.

ہر سبق شروع کرنے سے پہلے بورڈ پر سیکھنے کا ہدف لکھیں۔ پوچھیں: "آج آپ کیا سیکھیں گے؟"

🔄

Spaced Repetition

Revisit key concepts from the previous week at the start of each new week (5-minute warm-up). Research shows this doubles long-term retention compared to one-time teaching.

ہر نئے ہفتے کے آغاز میں گزشتہ ہفتے کے اہم تصورات دہرائیں (5 منٹ)۔

🤝

Think-Pair-Share

Pose a question → allow 2 minutes of individual thinking → 2 minutes of partner discussion → share with class. This ensures every child participates, not just confident ones.

سوال پوچھیں → 2 منٹ انفرادی سوچ → 2 منٹ ساتھی سے بحث → جماعت سے شیئر۔

🌍

Real-World Connections

Connect every abstract concept to Pakistan's local context. Teach percentages with PSL cricket scores, fractions with roti portions, and atoms with the dust they can see.

ہر خلاصہ تصور کو پاکستان کے مقامی سیاق سے جوڑیں: فیصد → PSL اسکور، کسر → روٹی۔
